The button below will take you to my YouTube Channel where I post my free basics of preparedness videos. If you haven't seen them, check them out!
Store what you eat - eat what you store. I have made mistakes in the past like buying a bunch of preparedness type meals and then never using them. Many years later I had to throw it all out. Don't be dumb like I was! Only store the types of food your family actually likes to eat. Eat what you store and rotate it so the oldest items get used up first.
By using your preparedness, gear, stuff, items, gadgets, etc. at least occasionally, you will know how to operate them when an emergency comes. Don't be one of those preppers who collect gadgets and never learn how they work.
Don't be too serious, have some fun. Especially if you have children, make prepping a game. Don't scare them or focus on the worst case scenario. By making prepping a way of living it just becomes a part of what you do. My kids say: "We are the preparedness family, we don't have to worry. When things get crazy we know what to do".
While we prepare for tomorrow, don't forget to live today!
Live Your Best - With No Regrets!
Get your kids, family and friends involved in your preparedness. Don't make is scary, make it fun, make it a game. Help them understand being self-reliant is simply taking responsibility for your own life.
Spend time with those you love.
Make great memories.
You can become more prepared for the craziness of life.
We know there will be some tough storms we will have to weather, but don't get so caught up in the future that you stop living in the now.
Live each day to the fullest.
Find some time to spend with those you love as well as time for yourself.
Prepare for the future without neglecting today.
PAINFULLY OBVIOUS DISCLAIMER: If you don't know how to safely use any stove, equipment, battery, filter, thing, etc. that I talk about in my videos or written works, DON'T use it! Don't kill yourself, burn down your house, tent or asphyxiate anyone. Don't be dumb! Read and understand product manuals and safety instructions or get help from a qualifed person. My making a video or writing an email to demostrate how I do something doesn't mean I understand your personal circumstances, knowledge level, experience or skill with anything. Being self-reliant doesn't mean we never ask for help from those qualified to help us or who know more than we do. Most of what I have learned has come from other people teaching and instructing me. If you don't know what you are doing, don't put yourself or your family at risk. Get help from someone in your area who can fully understand your situation and give you advice accordingly.
